Transforming Dark and Dated into Bright and Functional
This Nighthawk renovation in Whistler brought new life to a dated multi-family unit with a challenging layout. Collaborating with Kits Construction, we reimagined the space from top to bottom—removing awkward walls, flooding the interiors with natural light, and making every square foot more livable. The result is a home that feels intentional, functional, and in tune with the surrounding mountain landscape.

Upper Floor Reimagined
The original upper level was dark, disjointed, and filled with unnecessary walls that blocked light and disrupted flow. We removed these barriers and expanded the floor plan, creating an open-concept layout that breathes. By enlarging the deck and reorienting living spaces toward the views, the upper floor is now filled with daylight and better connected to the outdoors.
Light-Filled Lower Level
Downstairs, the transformation continued. Previously dim and disconnected, the hallways and rooms now benefit from carefully placed windows and an open layout. Natural light flows through the space, creating a sense of airiness and warmth. What was once a cramped area is now welcoming and cohesive.

Behind the Build
As with many renovations in Whistler’s multifamily buildings, this project came with logistical challenges. We secured three separate permits to bring the vision to life, carefully navigating regulations and timelines. Kits Construction executed the build with precision, turning our plans into a vibrant, livable home that feels brand new—without losing its mountain charm.
Family-Friendly Functionality
To bring even more purpose to the home, we transformed an awkward deck extension into a cheerful kids’ playroom. This addition brings joy and functionality, giving the family dedicated space for play while keeping sightlines clear and the overall design clean and modern.
