Interior Design with purpose
INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES
Our interior design approach is grounded in creating spaces that feel considered, cohesive, and built to last. Led by Jessica, our Lead Designer with over a decade of experience in the Sea to Sky corridor, our team works closely with clients to design interiors that reflect how they live, not just how a space looks.
What sets GNAR apart is our integrated approach. Interior design is not treated as a separate phase, it is considered from the beginning alongside the building design. This results in spaces that feel fully connected, avoiding the disconnects and redesigns that often happen when interiors are brought in too late.
We believe great design comes from informed, intentional decisions, not simply higher budgets. Our process is collaborative and engaging, guiding you through each step to create a space that feels personal, functional, and aligned with your vision.

SquamishInterior Design FAQ's
Why hire an interior Designer?
Interior designers help translate your vision into a clear, cohesive design while thoughtfully planning spaces and guiding key decisions along the way. They anticipate challenges early, coordinate with your building designer / Architect and builder, and ensure details are resolved efficiently. This not only elevates the overall outcome, but also supports a smoother process and allows your builder to provide a more accurate and reliable construction budget based on a clearly defined design direction and scope.
When should interior design start in a project?
Interior design is most effective when engaged early, ideally in parallel with the building design phase. This integrated approach enables coordinated planning of layouts and supports confident decision-making around key elements such as window placement and plumbing fixture locations. Early collaboration helps streamline the process, maintain design consistency, and reduce the likelihood of revisions later on.
Do you offer interior design for renovations or only new builds?
We work on both renovations and new builds. For renovation projects, we help reimagine layouts, improve functionality, and ensure the updated spaces integrate seamlessly with the existing home, creating a cohesive and intentional overall design. For new builds, we collaborate from the early stages to shape spatial planning and key design decisions, ensuring a well-resolved and cohesive home from the ground up.
Do you help with furniture and styling?
Yes. Furniture selection and styling is an ideal part of our design process, as it ensures the space feels complete, cohesive, and intentional. This includes sourcing furniture, lighting, rugs, and accessories, as well as curating final styling details that bring warmth, balance, and personality to the finished space. This is an optional service and can be tailored depending on the level of support you need.
How does your interior design integrate with building design?
Our interior design is developed in close collaboration with the building design, using a shared 3D model to ensure full coordination from the outset. This aligns spatial planning, structure, and overall design intent, resulting in a more cohesive and well-resolved project.
With both disciplines working closely together within the same team, the process is more efficient, with faster decision-making, fewer coordination issues, and reduced risk of costly errors, saving both time and money while improving overall project outcomes.
