For this family of four, summer just got a whole lot better. Their original deck space wasn’t quite cutting it, so we designed a custom extension that not only expanded their outdoor living area but also transformed the under-deck space into a second zone for relaxing and entertaining. With smart design and a focus on functionality, this project created a true multi-level experience for soaking up the sun, hosting friends, or just enjoying quiet time outside.
A Deck Made for Summer
The extended upper deck now provides plenty of room for dining, lounging, and taking in the views. Thoughtfully designed with flow and comfort in mind, it easily accommodates everything from morning coffee to evening barbecues. Clean lines and quality materials ensure it complements the home’s existing architecture while adding a fresh, modern touch.
Bonus Space Below
Often overlooked, the area beneath a deck can become valuable square footage with the right approach. In this case, we made sure the lower zone was just as usable as the upper one—whether for storage, shade lounging, or a cozy retreat on a hot day. It’s now a flexible, functional part of the home that extends the living space outdoors in every sense.
